Choose an issue that is happening in your community (your town, on campus, etc.). You will write about the current problem/debate as if you were a news reporter. Your job is to write this story for two separate audiences. One of your audiences should be a group of people similar to yourself (college students, Americans, youth). The other audience is your choice. Try to choose targets that have specifically different interests. Challenge yourself to address those different interests in your writing. Be sure to consider the three main categories for audience analysis (demographics, knowledge, and disposition).
