Read the following discussion and give response:

Should religious differences be celebrated or deemphasized? Who on the ACDBN board do you most closely support with regard to religious policy? Yes, religious differences should be embraced and celebrated just like diversity should be embraced. I find it very offensive and do not feel that working for corporate America we are free to express our religious views and freedoms. For example, we cannot wish people "Merry Christmas" nor put up Christmas decorations. This is an infringement on my religious rights and to worship my God. But, in January they have posters all over the organization celebrating MLK day.

In reviewing the ACDBN board, I most closely support and relate to Gwendolyn Sanderson Smythe for her belief that "faith was the blanket newly arrived immigrants once wrapped themselves in. But not so much now" And I also support Luther Jimarcus Jackson for his belief "God sustains us in the worst situations. Immigrants should see a holy life as a true path to survival and personal peace in the face of adversity." I believe that with all the deep valleys that I have gone through in life, part of which my children hadn't talked to me for over two years and them living in a home that was uninhabitable, (not mine) and having to pay child support of 1353 a month for two children this took a huge toll on me both financially and emotionally. But, I don't think that I would have gotten to where I am now without my faith in God. Now, my oldest daughter has put me through a living Hell. But, faith will get me through. I can see where Smyth would lose faith; this can be a normal reaction.
