Read the following discussion and give your response on it:

I believe Religion had a large play as to where immigrants migrated to. Based off the readings in our book The Ethnic Dimension in American History I got that Catholics all immigrated to the same place. Even though having the same relational background this actually caused the two different nationalities to become enemies and believe that each of their beliefs where greater and right versus the other I feel once things were straightened out between all the different nationalities that having the same religious background in fact helped people settle in the new foreign land they just arrived in. It helped them feel welcome and not alone. To hear the teachings of their own religion was a soothing feeling to them and made them feel more at home and that they in fact where in the right area. If like religions had not immigrated to the same area than there would not be what there is today. The different branches of the same religion would not exist, churches for specific religions would not exist and everyone would believe in one type of religion only.
