The Chern’s case study is a realistic job preview of the human resource recruitment and selection process, providing you with experiential learning in areas of staffing, specifically in strategic staffing. Assignments are particular to each workshop, meaning that while they will build upon prior work—for example, Workshop Two assignments will use or build upon Workshop One assignments—each workshop assignment is graded as a single unit; the case study is not graded as a cumulative assessment in this course. Accordingly, in Workshop Six you will not be expected to compile all of the work completed for Chern’s; however, it will be very important for you to organize and manage your work papers in this case study so that you may refer back to already completed work as necessary in order to complete current and future case study steps in succeeding workshops.

This course case study is formative, and as a result, you will likely gain practical knowledge, skills, and abilities throughout the course in all six workshops that can be readily transferred to the workplace.
