The United States is faced with transnational organized crime. More specifically, the practice of human smuggling, this poses special problems for law enforcement. These individuals are undocumented, some of them can carry communicable diseases, and others may come with hopes of terrorizing our country.

What could the United States do to prevent human smuggling? Should we allocate a lot of resources and manpower to stop human smuggling? Is it that big of a deal?
