Write a brief note on Gender Inequity in Children, and answer the following questions:

1) Describe the gender-related problem that you wish to address, citing relevant research to demonstrate the problem does, indeed, exist. Be specific in describing your targeted problem.

2) Describe the specific goal(s) of your program. That is, what would “success” for your program look like? What are your desired outcomes? Consider both what you would like to see less of and also what you would like to see more of instead.

3) What is your theory about the problem—what is your explanation for why the problem occurs? Refer to theories or research discussed in this course to support your ideas.

4) What needs to change in order to reach these goals, or to successfully achieve prevention/reduction of your chosen problem? This is the HOW of your proposed program—your theory of change. Again, refer to theories or research discussed in this course to support your ideas.

5) Given your goals and your theory of change, what is your proposed prevention/intervention program? That is, how are you going to cause the changes described in Question 4? Be specific in describing exactly what you will do and with whom.

6) Describe the resources you will need to implement your proposed program. What people, physical resources, skills/aptitudes, etc. will you need in order to make your program a reality?

7) Describe any barriers or resistance you may encounter in implementing your proposed program, and discuss how you might address them.
