Write an essay to examine the role of psychological and psychometric variables in assessment. You may select a test from any popular magazine supposedly assessing some psychological trait or achievement or you may examine the ways in which general knowledge and specialist knowledge is assessed in television quiz games or the role that judging is affected in popular programs such as master chef or can you dance Australia? This exercise will require a critical application of psychological principles to actions that will appear too many people to be objective and principled.
