You are being asked to complete two (2) cultural immersion activities, and assess the cultural sensitivity of your placement agency’s programs and services.

• Choose a cultural group that your agency serves. Please choose a cultural group that you have no (or limited) contact and/or experience.

• Write a brief history about your chosen cultural group.

• Choose 2 (two) of the 4 (four) cultural immersion activities described in the workbook (you will need to choose 1 (one) direct and one (1) indirect immersion activity). Complete the activities related to those experiences.

• Assess your placement agency’s cultural competence by answering the questions outlined in the workbook.
