1. (60%) Find two examples of products that illustrate the Trimming Technique. You don't need to prove that the Trimming Technique was actually applied by the products' developers, but merely make the case that they could have. A good solution will illustrate (i.e., include images of) the before and after products as well as describe which rule was applied, what was trimmed, etc.

2. (40%) Find a product of approximately 10 major components. Systematically apply the trimming technique to see if you can make any new ideas for potential products. Clearly document your thoughts! A good solution will describe the components of the original product, explain their functions, and explain how each of the rules for trimming were systematically applied to look for new ideas.
