1.) A puma jumps to a height of 3.40 m when leaving the ground at an angle of 40.9 degrees. What is it's initial speed (m/s) as it leaves the ground? (I have tried the following answers and they're wrong: 10.8 and 4.39)2.) A playground is on the flat roof of a city school, hb=4.80 m above the street below. The vertical wall of the building is h=6.10 m high, to form a 1.3 m-high railing around the playground. A hall has fallen to the street below, and a passerby returns it by launching it at an angle of 53.0 degrees above the horizontal at a point d=24.0 m from the base of the building. The hall take 2.20 s to reach a point vertically above the wall. Find the horizontal distance from the wall to the point on the roof where the ball lands. (Answers I have tried for C and we're wrong: 2.7, 2.26, 2.40).
