Rambo was driving a heavily loaded semi-trailer. One night. he was staying at the Happy Hotel. During the evening, he drank 10 pots of beer (according to the tab he was running) at the hotel's crowded bar. He was ejected from the bar when his drunken behaviour caused nuisance and annoyance to other customers. He then went to his semi-trailer, which was parked across the road from the hotel, and drove it over the road and through the wall of the bar. Several persons in the bar suffered injuries when they were hit by the vehicle or by debris from the wall. Two of them died. The trailer had travelled approximately 30 metres before hitting the bar and witnesses said that it was still moving slowly at the time but was accelerating. When he was interviewed by police ofcers, Rambo claimed that he had not meant to kill anyone. He said: "I wasn't thinking straight. I was mad and i wanted to get even by smashing up the bar. I never thought about anyone getting killed or injured.\
