C) Ryan Phelps, a former athlete, now a private business owner who owns a non-profit working with children, was arrested for possession of painkillers (400 Oxycotin) with the intent to deliver after he was stopped for speeding. Explain your choice.

5. As a drug court judge, you have before you an individual suffering from drug dependency who has appeared before you on three previous occasions. This individual has more potential than most defendants that come before you. She has completed three years of college with a 3. 5 GPA, but simply cannot complete drug rehabilitation program. What will be your approach to this offender this time? What sanction will you give her? Do you believe our criminal justice system should have other specialized courts, if so, what other specialized courts do you believe would be effective intermediate sanctions? Is there a danger for a court to become too specialized? Do you see specialized courts as an efficient approach to dispense justice?
