You are the management accountant of a company. Your company sells phone cases and laptop
skins/decals to individual customers (not to companies). You company recently changes the
ordering process. In order to understand the relationship between the change in processes and
performance, you first need to compare this new process with the old process. You have talked to
several people involving in this process and documented the process in the narrative below.
The ordering department receives the order and payment information from a customer. After
receiving the order, the ordering department first checks for potential errors in the order (e.g.,
someone orders 10,000 phone cases) and confirms that the product is available. At the same time,
the ordering department sends the payment information to the cashier. It is very rare that a product
is not available. However, if this is the case, the ordering department will cancel the order, notify
the customer and notify the cashier to process the refund. After the ordering department confirms
the order and product availability, at the end of each day, the order is passed to the warehouse. The
warehouse clerk picks and puts the ordered items in the box for shipment. At the end of each day,
all boxes are picked up by Fedex. Fedex creates a tracking number for each box and sends the
information to the warehouse. The warehouse clerk sends the ordering department the tracking
numbers so the ordering department can update the order status. At the end of each week, the
accounting department receives the order from the ordering department, shipping information from
the warehouse and customer payment information from the cashier. The accounting department
compares the three pieces of information. If everything looks correct, the accounting department
generates a weekly report. If there's any discrepancy, the accounting department notifies all three
departments with an error correction report.

it is clear and "readable" or you can use any diagram drawing software to draw the diagram.
