1. In my work as a doctor at the Banner University Medical Center and in other places Ive worked, there has often been a focus on Vague goals that aren't really accomplish-able. We are going to increase wellness or We want to prioritize Diversity or Rethink Everything. These goals made no sense and weren't ones that could be accomplished. These were VAPID Goals.
VAPID stands for:
Vague -The goal is unclear, and the steps you need to take to achieve the goal are unclear.
Amorphous -The goal doesn't have a finish line or any sense of achievement.
Pie in the sky -It's too ambitious.
Irrelevant -The goal isn't actually linked to what we really value and care about.
Delayed -There's no time frame. It can happen any time.
When thinking about the results of your test and some specific steps that you can take, what are some ways that you can avoid VAPID goals?
2. I need help response to my peers
Taylor said? This is a rather fun discussion question especially because my wife has made me take personality tests before. I have recently learned more about myself by taking this accounting job and it goes in line with the how you learn test. I am reflective therefore I like to think on how I can apply something then I like to test it out. I am very much reflective that pretty much all else learning is just a tiny sprinkle in comparison. This actually ties in with jarl Jung's personality test which I have taken multiple times and I always get INTJ. The intuitive part of my brain likes planning and how to use the information I have learned in context with my life and my plans. I don't know all the nitty gritty details like what it means when IN and paired and ET paired but I do have a general idea. My most challenging thing to overcome if I want to be a good manager is valuing people and not seeing them as a means to an end. I have no clue why that can be hard but it's a pretty INTJ thing to value efficiency over all else including relationships and that can be both a blessing and a curse when you are in charge of people. Efficiently has it's place and it %100 percent needed to have a thriving business however sometimes you need to take your employees' wants and desires into account as well.
