• Find an article relating to finance. It could be a topic we have covered/will cover in class, but it doesn't have to be, as long as it has something to do with finance and/or money.
• The article should come from a credible news source, such as a newspaper or magazine.
  • Examples: Forbes Magazine, The New York Times, TIME Magazine, The Stockton Record, The Sacramento Bee
• Read the article, making sure you understand it.
• Complete an article review sheet if you would like (use the template in the link below).

Article Summary

• Give a short summary of what the article was about.
• DO NOT use direct quotes. Try to put the article in your own words.
• Include a word count at the end of your summary.
• You do NOT need to include a copy of the article.
• ***Please include***:
  • Title of article
  • Article source (i.e. Forbes, New York Times, etc.)
  • Publication date
  • Author (if no author, please state "no author given")

How the Article Affected Your Own Views and Opinions

• Describe your feelings about the article.
• Include a word count at the end of you views and opinions.
• Some questions to think about:
  • Did you agree with the article? Did you disagree? Why?
  • Did the article change your mind about anything?
  • Did you learn something you didn't know?

• Both the summary and your views/opinions should be 250 words TOTAL (not each)
• Only choose articles from reliable sources. Blogs, opinion boards, etc. are NOT reliable sources. If you aren't sure if your source is reliable, please ask me.

• Make of car (Chevrolet, Honda, Kia, etc.)
• Model of car (Silverado, Civic, Sorento, etc.)
• Year of car
• Miles on car
• Special features (2-door, 4-door, hybrid, convertible, etc.)

*If you do not own a car, please include information on a car you would like to purchase/own OR use information on a car owned by someone close to you

• Already insured? (Yes/No; if yes, with what provider?)
