1) Paul Williams found a blank check outside his job. Bill Jones had dropped the check on the way to his car. He needed some quick cash and decided to fill out the check for $1000 and sign Bill Jones' name. He took it to the local bank and cashed the check. When Bill Jones discovered the money withdrawn from his bank account he contacted the bank and demanded that the money be returned to his account. The bank refused and Bill sued the bank.
