The power in this speech in my personal opinion was the quotes and the confidence of JFK he expressed and spoke clearly for his audience to understand gave valuable life lessons for example when he stated "Never Negotiate out of fear and never fear to negotiate ". I took this into personal consideration of having the fear and worry of negotiating and feeling that I don't need to negotiate for what I'm entitled to.

The speech enhanced my knowledge more for my Presentation skills showing the abilities and qualities necessary for creating and delivering a compelling presentation that effectively communicates information and ideas. Encompassing what you say, how you structure it, and the materials you include to support what you say.

Good evening, class, and welcome back. I hope you all had a good break.

I found it fascinating how the audience concentrated on JFK's speech and applauded his pledges after watching his speech in 1962. I think what gave it power was how certain he sounded, how he addressed it as a new beginning and a new change for the people, how JFK promised to support them, how he showed support and knew his facts, and how he gave them hope by turning his words into deeds. JFK's tone and manner clearly demonstrated how sure he was of what he was saying. He displayed bravery and strength. The speech gave me the confidence I needed to have a decent body posture and tone, make eye contact with the audience, have solid data, and deliver a speech that would hold their interest.
