1. Saturated steam at 10 bar and flow rate of 300kg/hr are available from a process stream. It enters through 10mm piping to superheater where 300KJ/kg heat is added to the stream. The superheated steam is passed through a back-pressure turbine to develop 40h p power at 80% efficiency. The back-pressure turbine is used to generate electric power while supplying process steam at a set pressure required by the facilities. Steam exits through a diffuser at 1.1 bar and a velocity of 2m/s. The elevation difference between the inlet and the outlet of the system is 300m.
