1 School/ Teacher Information: You are one of three after-school teachers at the local- school age before and after school child care program. On any given day, you have at least 30 school-age children in your classroom. Your roll is to make sure they eat a snack, assist them with getting their homework done and provide activities to keep them occupied before their parents pick them up,

Child enrolled in your class: Jennifer Lawrence (6 years old)

Family Information: Fannie and Otis are married, and are both full time working parents. Fannie is a 3rd grade teacher and Otis is a security guard. Fannie is 6 months pregnant with their 3rd child. In addition, Otis has 2 step children from a previous marriage, who he pays child support for. Otis takes night classes after work and often gets home after 11pm. Fannie and Otis's two other children are Michael - 4 years old and Jennifer 6 years old. Michael attends a local full day preschool, while Jennifer is in 1st grade and attends after school care. Fannie has to drop Michael off at preschool by 7:15 am, Jennifer off at 7:30, and be at her work by 7:45 a.m. She then has to pick them up by 5:30, and get Jennifer to her dance class by 6:00. They are home by 7:15pm on most nights on the days that she has dance class, which are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Frannie often has to get the children fast food for dinner, otherwise they would not eat until almost 8 pm. Once they get home, it is time to get them all in a bath, and ready for bed. Frannie then needs to start preparing for her class the following day. She often does not get to bed until midnight, and has to get up at 5:45 am. Otis is not able to be much help, as he does not get home until after 11pm
