For variance you mention in #1 above, suggest how you might provide corrective action to avoid this variance in future months. 3. As you watch the video, notice that Mr. Kimmel provides examples of what might cause variances against standard for Direct Materials. But as we learned in Ch 14- 17, we need to also need to concern ourselves with Direct Labor and Overhead, as they make up the rest of our total Product Cost per unit.
