Examples of social institutions include government, education systems, religion, the family, languages, economies, legal systems, health care systems, etc. Describe (do not just list) the impact of at least FOUR of these institutions have on mental health or on individuals with mental illness. On may use their own personal experiences to help answer question (for example, one can uses their religion and think about it's approach to mental illness; can look up their health insurance policy on mental health coverage; etc) 2. Research and describe at least ONE public policy (legislation) regarding mental health. Compare this United States policy to other countries (do they have similar legislation? Do they treat the issue better or worse than the US? Etc) 3.What impact does culture or politics have on mental health care and mental illness?
