#1 Stress is a normal reaction the body has when changes occur, resulting in physical, emotional and intellectual responses. Anxiety, fear, depression, unconscious ego defense, heart rate and cardiac output increase, skin is pallid, mental alertness improves, blood sugar increases. Depression, increasing heart rate, fear. I try to take a deep breath, then I start listening to song, and if that doesn't help me to reduce the stress then I start to talk.

#2 My definition of stress is going through challenging events while having emotional and mental strain. Stress is a natural reaction to not being able to cope with specific demands and events, but ongoing stress can affect a person's health and wellbeing (Felman, 2023). Some of the stress can be present within not only school or work, but finances.

Psychological indicators of stress can involve having feelings of anxiety, mood changes, and having the hassle of being focused. Most of the things to occur are headaches, difficulty with sleep, tension, and an increase in heart rate. Stress slows down some normal bodily functions, such as those that the digestive and immune systems perform (Felman, 2023)

A personal situation that I found stressful was trying to balance out assignments and exams while taking multiple classes at once. When I have to take exams and I have that feeling of nervousness it tends to lead me to be overwhelmed and cause tension in the neck area.

Things that can reduce stress are by doing exercises such as physical, breathing, and relaxation. Having time management can decrease the amount of stress as well. Relaxation techniques such as yoga, meditation, and deep breathing activate the body's relaxation response, a state of restfulness that is opposite of the fight or flight (Robinson & Smith).
