(c) Changes also occurred in relation to key philosophies underpinning HRM. An emerging philosophy was the need for employees to be seen as assets. What does it mean for employees to be seen as assets, rather than liabilities, and what are the pros and cons in this regard? In your opinion, do you think the benefits outweigh the costs?
