Dealing with Multiple Venues After 10 years of continued growth, WOFEX or World Food Expo has outgrown its venue, the World Trade Center. In 2010, the difficult decision of whether to continually decline bookings or to expand into another venue had to be made. Unfortunately, the next major exhibition venue was a 10-15 minute drive from World Trade Center. The SMX Convention Center was the only other viable exhibition center to house additional participants. Driven by the growing demand, the organizers finally succumbed to the pressure by booking both. The move allowed WOFEX to immediately double its space. Much to the organizer's surprise, the industry threw its full support into the expo and the second venue was immediately filled up. But that is really just half of the concern. While WOFEX is now able to offer a larger expo, will the visitors visit both? The bigger challenge was how to re-educate the visitors into visiting two separate venues.
