I happen to have some of my own guitar songs for which I don't have lyrics yet. After thanking you for the lyrics, I read them and realize they're really good and a few are profound. So then I email you to say that if I ever make any money off those lyrics, put to my songs, I'll give you of the royalties. As it turns out, my songs with the lyrics you gave me get licensed to a variety of artists across musical genres, and I am paid handsomely. Yea! But I never get around to paying you anything, so you sue me for breach of contract. Why won't you win? Please apply contract law or contract legal doctrines in your answer.
