What were some of the specific early inventions in the 1700s where this was first felt? How did those new inventions work exactly and what advantages did this usually give the people who increasingly controlled the production of goods?

Industrialization did not just change the industries involved alone, it began to have lateral or horizontal effects of the economy and society (i.e. the newly industrialized industry had effects of on other industries as well). In particular, how did industrialization increasingly affect transportation, population numbers, agriculture, and banking?
