1. The various scales of measurement (nominal, ordinal, interval, and ratio) and how to apply an example of collected data as being measured by each scale.

2. Know the definitions covered from chapter one that are covered in the summary sheet and be able to apply them.

3. Know the various types of graphs. Feel comfortable in looking at a graph or frequency distribution and describing what the graph is telling you.

4. Know the different columns of the frequency distribution graph on the summary sheet. Be able to describe in your own words what each column is telling you.

5. Know the meaning of symmetry, skewness, and kurtosis and be able to describe different curves using these terms.

6. Know the difference between continuous and discrete variables.
