1. View the five functions of management defined in the first two chapters of the textbook. A. If you were the CEO of a meatpacking and processing company, which function do you think would be the most important? B. If you were the president of an institution of higher education, which function do you think would be the most important? 2. Define the concept of morale, and its importance to an organization. 3. Would you feel more comfortable being the manager in charge of a large group of employees, or a smaller group? Which one would be easier? (Think carefully through your answer, the concept may not be as simple as you might guess!)
