10. Explanation of the work: Each working group will be given an assembly drawing. Analyse the assembly drawing and table the parts to be designed and manufactured and the parts to be purchased. Be aware that bearings and other purchased parts come with standard dimensions and you can find the dimensions in the relevant catalogues. Do all the QCs ensuring clearance in all bearings (if liner dimensions are very small, you can put the QC elements in a table with appropriate explanation of each element). Do all QCs ensuring clearance in gear engagement. Create part drawings of all gears and shafts and dimension appropriately just using the nominals. Pick appropriate method for the assembly of the product and advise on the tinting. Create Bill of materials with prices. Create a costing method for the product assuming your company net profit and overheads. Produce chart for the project management (timescale and who does what)
