(10 Marks) Paige and April have been working for a start up internet advertising company for 2 years. Paige is working in an admin role for Human Resources and April is a manager working in Finance and Creative Promotions. Paige is now two years into her career and has been stuck doing the same administrative computer job every day - typing out forms, updating spreadsheets, all of which requires very little variety. She really would love to get into sales but has no experience. It has decreased her motivation to work and she receives very little feedback. She does not know how her job impacts the overall company. April is one of the best young managers in the company, but she has recently plateaued in terms of performance. She has great autonomy in her job and meets regularly with her senior VP to get feedback on her projects. She understands her job has a big impact on the overall success of the company and has the freedom to be creative with her promotion projects. Last year, the company needed to close the gap on competitors in terms of market share and she led a very successful marketing orogram that did just that. She loves her job but this year she feels lost and doesn't seem to have the same motivation. A. (10 marks) Explain a theory of motivation that you think could be used to help Paige. Be sure to give specific examples of the changes you would make and the rationale behind it. Make sure you clearly state the theory of motivation that supportS your strategy.
