q13 READING

[1] Color therapy is a nontraditional form of healing that goes back thousands of years. It was practiced in ancient Egypt, China, and India. Color therapy believes that each of the seven colors of the spectrum (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet) has a unique energy. These energies can be used to balance the seven energy centers in the body and improve our health. [2] Believers in color therapy say that color can affect the body on every level, so it has positive effects on the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of humans. It is therefore considered a holistic form of medicine, which believes that a good connection between mind, body, and spirit is essential for good health.

[3] One basic theory of this therapy is that color is everywhere and exists in nature for a reason: to provide energy for the living things on Earth. It is possible to improve different aspects of our mind, body, and spirit by focusing on different colors and, for example, by choosing to wear certain colors to help in certain areas.

[4] Color therapy involves no medicines or drugs, so it is claimed to be 100% safe for babies, children, adults, and even animals! All we need to do is become more aware of the colors around us, and we can transform all aspects of our lives.

It is a total therapy, meaning it deals with the whole organism. The reason that colors exist is to help with healing. Noticing colors around us can help change our lives and make us healthier.
