(1+.10)to the first power

(1+.10)to the 2nd power

(1+.10) to the 3rd power

this is the whole equation: 85/(1+.10)to the first power+85/(1+.10)to the second power+1085/(1+.10) to the second power.

I don't understand how to find the power of .10. It comes out to be 0.01 , 0.001 etc. when I try to divide them by the numbers in the equation, it doesn't' come out right.
