1.1.1 Assessment outline. Your group will act as a consulting team, working with Madaba Hospital, to develop a full specification against its evolving brief below. It will evolve because as you elicit your way through it Madaba Hospital will spot their possibilities and! or problems with its original concept that will need changing. The two outline briefs are as follows: I Develop for Madaba Hospital a detailed specification for an information system to meet its stated goal in the tutorial sheet of replacing its Patients' history book and enhancing its understanding of its Patients. Madaba Hospital has now decided to widen the basic brief a little to include all its possible IS functions now and into the medium term future. I Develop for Madaba Hospital a manager's guide to the use of IT for marketing and an outline specication for an Infonnation System that can support its Marketing ideas. There's is a lot of overlap between these two challenges but it is up to you and your group to work out where your botmdary lies. Even then you may wish to ask Madaba Hospital questions about its perceptions of things over the boundary so you do not limit its future possibilities by forgetting to take accormt of which things they may wish to do
