April's sales are budgeted at $110,000 Marketable securities are expected to be sold for $28,000 during the month of April. d March purchases of direct materils were $22,500. The controller estimates that April purchases of direct matena's will be $44,000. 40 percent of a month's raw materials purchases are paid in the month of purchase with the remaining 60 percent paid in the following month. During April, direct labor costs are estimated to be $20,000, Manufacturing overhead is estimated to be $7,600 in April. Further, the controller estimates that approximately 10 percent of the manufacturing overhead is depreciation on the factory building and equipment. Selling and administrative expenses are budgeted at $21,000 for April. Of this amount, $6,000 is for depreciation. During April, Janes Maxim Company plans to buy a new delivery van costing $26,000. The company will pay cash for the van Janes Maxim Company owes $37,000 in income tax, which must be paid in April. Janes Maxim Company must maintain a minimum cash balance of $10,000.
