Values:

At Danone the four values that shape the culture of the company form the acronym "HOPE": Humanism, Openness, Proximity and enthusiasm.

• Humanism:

Humanism means that the human part is always central in the thinking. Every action or decision must take into account the humans that are possibly affected.

• Openness:

Openness means being open toward people about information and involves open communication. Every decision needs to be openly communicated across the company.

• Proximity:

Proximity means being close and connected to people. Decisions need to be made as close as possible to the people. The direct team leader has a very important role to play.

• Enthusiasm:

Showing enthusiasm but also being able to spark enthusiasm within people is an important value. Decisions must be able to enthusiasm the people that are affected by the decision.
