The outer ends of the springs are now connected to posts P1 and P2 as shown, each post being 10 cm from the original ends of the springs. (a) Find the length of each spring after the block is in its new equilibrium position. (b) Find the period of vibration of the block if it is displaced slightly from its new equil- ibrium position and released. 65+1
