This is your opportunity to showcase your unique value proposition and how the organization can

benefit from hiring you/purchasing your product/investing in your organization.

For this assignment, you will write a speech that can be delivered within 45 seconds. You will need to

practice delivering your speech within the 45 seconds allocated to you. Time yourself and make your

speech as attention grabbing as possible. The words you select should characterize an experience

that has happened to you that is interesting or important, or something that you have learned or

value that tells us a little about who you are, or something about your plans or hopes for the future,

etc. Use MS Word and include the following elements in your speech:

1. A powerful opening. Use a solid sentence introducing who you are and what you do (be specific).

Include your name, job title or primary role, and a tagline to support your profile.

2. A paragraph discussing why you chose this line of work and how it fits in with your goals and values.

3. A paragraph discussing why the person youre pitching to should care (e.g. how do you set yourself

apart from others. Your strengths and experience and what are the achievements you are proud

of)

4. What do you want (why are you telling them this? You need something compelling).

5. Have your resume/cover letter ready if you're planning to pitch for a job
