1.Create opening and conclusion for the paper below about leadership- individual philosophy paper

2. Read over and make changes where needed, mark where there are changes

My personal individual philosophy and approach to leadership is rooted in the core value of collaboration. I strongly believe in creating an environment and culture of collaboration, where all stakeholders are respected and their ideas and perspectives are valued. This allows for a more innovative and creative approach to problem solving and decision making. I also believe that an effective leader should have a clear vision and be able to communicate it clearly to the team. This ensures that everyone is on the same page and is working towards a common goal. I believe that a leader should always be willing to learn, grow, and adapt to the changing needs of the organization. They should be open to feedback and be willing to make changes in order to improve the effectiveness of the team.

My personal relationship and experiences to leadership have changed over time and my outlook and understanding to the importance of a strong leader has changed over this quarter. I began my leadership journey with a more traditional approach, where the leader held all the power and authority and decisions were made unilaterally. Over time, I have come to understand the importance of collaboration and how it can lead to improved problem solving and better decision making. I have also become more aware of how to better understand and manage people, and how to create environment that allows for creative thinking and open communication. I have become more aware of my own strengths and weaknesses and how to best use them in a leadership role. Overall, my personal philosophy and approach to leadership has evolved over time as I have gained new experiences and learned from my mistakes. I believe that effective leadership requires both a firm commitment to collaboration and an openness to learning and adapting to new challenges.

Collaboration and Communication

I believe that collaboration and communication are essential aspects of successful leadership. As a leader, it is important to be able to build strong relationships with team members, actively listen to their ideas and opinions, and use them to create shared vision and strategy. I also believe that collaboration should extend beyond the team to include other stakeholders, such as customers and partners, to ensure that everyone's needs are met and that the best solutions are reached. When I was starting out my career, I was part of a small team of five people. We had to work together to develop a product that was not only cost effective but also of good quality. As the leader of the project, I was tasked with ensuring that everyone was working together and communicating effectively. I took the time to get to know each team member and their strengths, and then I delegated tasks accordingly. Everyone had a specific job to do, and I was there to facilitate communication and help us brainstorm ideas. In the end, we achieved our goal, and it was a great feeling for all of us. I learned that effective collaboration and communication are essential for successful leadership.

Trust

Trust is an essential element of successful leadership. I believe that trust must be earned, both from the team and from external stakeholders, and that it can be built through open and honest communication, consistent and fair decision-making, and a willingness to accept feedback and criticism. Trust also requires that leaders be accountable for their actions and that they foster a safe environment in which team members can take risks without fear of failure. When I first joined a new company, I was overwhelmed by the level of responsibility that was given to me. However, my supervisor made me feel like I was capable of handling it all. She gave me the autonomy to take ownership of projects and make decisions without needing to check in with her every step of the way. This trust gave me the confidence that I needed to succeed. I learned that trust is an important part of successful leadership. It allows individuals to feel empowered and motivated to do their best work.

Over the course of the quarter I was introduced to many different types of leadership styles. I have found them to all be useful and beneficial in being an effective leader. After learning about how they can affect others around you in a positive way, I now always incorporate emotional intelligence, kindness, compassion, and adaptive change as I find them to be crucial in being an effective leader in my professional and personal life.

Emotional Intelligence

Effective leadership requires being able to recognize, understand, and control one's own emotions as well as those of others. In order to effectively lead their team, leaders must be able to communicate with them and comprehend the emotions of those they are leading. Understanding one's own emotions as well as those of others is necessary for this. In order to effectively communicate with their team, leaders need to be able to identify and understand their own emotions. This is significant because it fosters team trust and increases followership of the leader.

For instance, I was in charge of a group project in college. I needed to be able to comprehend and empathize with my team members' feelings in order to lead the project successfully. This helped me establish a solid rapport with them and made it possible for us to collaborate more successfully. I was able to gain the respect and trust of my team by demonstrating understanding and empathy, and as a result, they were more likely to follow my instructions.

Kindness and Compassion

Kindness and compassion, in my opinion, are crucial traits for any leader because they demonstrate concern for the people they are in charge of and a willingness to prioritize their needs. This is how I feel because I think that people are more likely to follow someone who will treat them with kindness, compassion, and respect. For instance, I had to take charge of a group of kids when I worked as a camp counselor. They were much more willing to follow my instructions and respect me as a leader after I treated them with kindness and compassion. I was able to establish trust with them by being kind and compassionate toward them, which increased their propensity to comply with my orders.

Adaptive Change

I think that adaptive change-leading adaptive work is a crucial component of effective leadership because it entails knowing when change is necessary, being able to accept it, and then being able to make the adjustments required to get the desired result. I have this opinion because I think that in order for a leader to succeed, they must be able to spot when a tactic or strategy is ineffective and then be able to adjust in order to reach their objective. , I was in charge of a client's project. In order to finish the project on time and to the client's satisfaction, I had to be able to spot when our initial strategy wasn't working and then be able to make the necessary changes. I was able to make the necessary changes to the project to ensure that it was finished on time and to the client's satisfaction by being able to spot when our initial strategy wasn't working.

I currently see myself as an empowering leader in the future. I believe in empowering my team members and giving them the tools, resources, and support they need to take ownership of their work and feel confident in their decision making. I strive to create environment of collaboration and trust, where everyone has the opportunity to contribute their unique perspectives and ideas. I'm also a strong advocate for continuous learning and development, and I believe in helping others find and pursue their passions, as well as guiding them in their professional goals.

I've been fortunate to have had many people in my life who have impacted my views, lives, and relationships with leadership. My parents were both incredibly strong, determined leaders in their respective fields, and they were always pushing me to be the best version of myself. My teachers and professors were also instrumental in helping me to hone my leadership skills, providing me with knowledge and guidance to help me make informed decisions. Additionally, I've had some amazing mentors throughout the years, who have inspired me to be a better leader and have taught me valuable lessons about the importance of taking risks and learning from failure. Finally, I've had some incredible colleagues who have shared their own experiences and insights with me, and have helped me to grow and develop as a leader. Their support and encouragement have been invaluable, and I'm so thankful for their guidance and friendship.
