1.DeAndra said - One of the key aspects of a diverse organization that might benefit a manger wanting to promote positive social change is ensuring the organization is truly diverse. One version of diversity, as stated by Sandilya, is the variety or multiplicity of demographic features that characterize a company's workforce, in terms of race, gender, culture, religion, national origin, handicap, sexual orientation and age. (Sandilya, G.) If an organization is truly diverse, the organization receives different cultures, different belief systems, different perspectives and can overall be highly beneficial to an organization. Some challenges may involve the employees practicing their belief systems that others may not agree with and that may cause tension. It may help if the leadership recognizes the opportunities and challenges that diversity presents to the organization, embraces those opportunities, and commits to finding healthy solutions to the challenges. (The Denver Foundation). Some specific steps managers can take to promote positive social change within their organization may start in the hiring process. Managers can ensure that while looking over resumes, they ensure they are not hiring the same employees repeatedly.

2.Shelean said - Diversity within an organization can be beneficial to a manager wanting to promote positive social change because hiring different background and culture to a company's team can lower the thought that the company hiring practices maybe bias again a specific group of people. Managers can also benefit from diversity because bringing people together of different cultures and backgrounds can bring many new and dissimilar ideas to improve to company. These positive social changes helps the company in a positive way. Some steps managers can make to promote positive social changes within the workplace are to change their hiring practices. By making this change people can be themselves and don't have to fit into an image that they believe the organization want to reflect, within diversity, comes unique individuals who are able to make a difference and that difference can be done within the organization. when working at Century 21 Department Stores, I noticed the company was well diverse, there were people working there who were all shapes, sizes, culture, ages and background. This was great for the company because it brought in many business. Customers were comfortable shopping there because they can find someone to relate to and get fashion advise from.
