Question
1)Design a parity generator circuit that will output the parity of the three inputs X, Y, and Z on to a new signal P. P
1)Design a parity generator circuit that will output the parity of the three inputs X, Y, and Z on to a new signal P. P (the output of the circuit) is such that when it is grouped with inputs to form a 4-bit word W = {P,X,Y,Z}, W will always have even parity.
a)Develop a truth table for the parity generator, P
b)Write the function P in the Sum of Products form using the truth table. Then use the product terms of P to make a K-Map with 1's in the map entries.
c)Considering map entries that have a 0 now, if possible, group the 0's and write G, the complement function of P, in minimized Sum of Products form. Use DeMorgan's rule to G to get P in Products of Sums form. Final P should be in this form.
