Data set HW1 FEV.sav on Canvas contains determinations of FEV in 1980 on 654 children ages 3 through 19 who were seen in the Childhood Respiratory Disease (CRD) Study in East Boston, Massachusetts.

(Organize your answers neatly in an order, with clear problem numbers right before each part. Provide minimal SPSS output that is necessary to assist you answering questions.)

(a) Except "Id", how many variables does this data set contain? Which are categorical variables and which are quantitative variables?

(b) For each variable (other than ID), obtain appropriate descriptive statistics.

(c) Based on suitable graphs, describe the shapes of Age and Hgt, respectively. Identify any suspected outliers from the suitable graph.

(d) Follow the SPSS instruction below to make two histograms and a side-by-side box plot of FEV for female and male children. Write a brief comparison of the two distributions with respect to the center, spread, and the shape.
