IRGreat Co. is owned by Dean.Dean has developed and produced a bottle that he hopes will replace plastic bottles as the preferred bottle of soft drink manufacturers like Coca Cola and Pepsi. He has great plans for IRGreat Co with this product.

Samantha is Dean's assistant and is working hard on helping Dean sell the product to soda companies. She was very eager to help because she had read reports about the millions of plastic bottles filling landfills and the severe environmental impact plastic has on the environment. The bottle produced by IRGreat Co. isn't plastic, but is made out of the resin of a plant that is specially treated. But as Samantha started putting together the research behind the product, Samantha begins to get worried. It turns out that the treatment process (a patented industrial secret by IRGreat Co) actually changes the nature of the resin. It changes the molecular structure, making it even less likely to degrade than plastic. One bottle can take up 1000 years to degrade in landfill conditions, unlike plastic which degrades in about 450 years in bottle form.Furthermore, it is not clear that the degradation process would result in safe compounds as no tests were performed.

Dean gives Samantha a packet of information to use in her meeting with the soda manufacturing representatives scheduled next week. The information stresses: the natural nature of the resin, its place as a renewable resource, its organic nature and the fact that the plants grow in most climates quite easily. But the information is about the resin itself, not the actual product that results from the treatment, which reacts to nature quite differently.Dean wants Samantha to use stress the words 'natural' and 'from nature' to describe the product. He stresses that nothing in the information would be a lie.

Samantha is now thinking about the meeting she is going to be having next week with the soda representatives. What is the ethical thing for Samantha to do?
