Now, imagine you are an elementary school teacher, and one of your students, Keisha, is typically a confident, eager kid who has been showing up to school on time, completing her homework, and learning a lot. And, she feels good about it.After the holiday break, you, as the teacher, notice that Keisha is not the same; she is getting behind in her school work, shows self-doubt, and generally has lost interest in school.You find out from the school counselor that over the holidays, Keisha's mother died unexpectedly, and her father is having to work two jobs to make ends meet now.Using Maslow's terminology/hierarchy, how would explain Keisha's change in behavior.Be sure to state at which level of need Keisha was operating before the break and then which level of need(s) she is operating at after the break.
