1)Watch 3male/femaleinteractions. Observe each person for at least one minute. Observe the interactions as unobtrusively as possible. It is best if you watch and NOT listen to the interactions. Look for nonverbal displays of emotion. If you cannot observe "live" interactions, you may observe male/female interactions in the media.

Briefly describe each interaction (for example:location, age of individuals).

2) Rate each individual on a seven-point scale.

Where 1 = Not at all emotionally expressive and 7 = Extremelyemotionally expressive.

List your ratings for each individual noting if they were male or female.

For examples: Females - 5,7,2 Males - 2, 5, 1

3) Do your own observations match the gender difference predicted in the text? Explain.
