A former Seal Beach, Calif., agent was sentenced to a year probation and ordered to pay restitution for stealing premium from customers after being found guilty of one misdemeanor count of grand theft. Vincent Allen LaGrange, 66, who headed LaGrange and Associates and Empire-Valley Insurance Services, had his and his firms licenses ___________ in September 2016 by the California Department of Insurance for double-charging an elderly customer for earthquake coverage and financing the premium without her knowledge.
