A mechanical engine is running at a speed of 900rpm and is coupled to 8 pole 3-p alternator. The generated power of alternator is given to 3-0 induction motor and induction motor is running at full speed of 1120r.p.m. Determine the percentage slip, frequency of rotor induced emf and no of poles of rotor of induction motor. Suggest any feasible method to increase speed of induction motor from above calculations.
