2. LP modeling - Fast Food Restaurant A fast-food restaurant sells two types of sandwiches; cheeseburger and meat-lover. Both sandwiches need meat and cheese slice. A meat-lover uses a 0.5 lb of meat and one slice of cheese. A cheeseburger uses 0.25 lb of meat and 2 slices of cheese. The restaurant starts with 150 lb of meat and 500 slices of cheese. The unit profits of each meat-lover is $7, and each cheeseburger is $5. However, the restaurant may order more meat up to 50 lb at an additional cost of $1.50 per pound, and 100 more slices of cheese at an additional cost of $0.10 per each slice. The prices are little higher than usual for a special delivery. The expected daily demand is at most 150 for cheeseburgers and at most 250 for meat lover sandwiches, so that the owner doesn't want to order a large amount of meat and cheeses. How many of each type of sandwich should the restaurant plan for the day to make max profit? a) Please formulate this problem as a LP model. MUST define the decision variables first! Then, write the objective function and constraints. b) Solve the problem using LINDO or Excel Solver and attach the output. c) Please explain your optimal plan based on your LP model's input and output. No handwritten input and output! No grade for the handwritten answers!
