Tomato production was 1,000kg 925 kg was sold to National Processors, a manufacturer of tomato ketchup at $5.00 per kg 50kg was for own final use 25kg was made as payment in kind as part of compensation of employees The tomato farmers imported $1,600 in seeds b. National Processors sold $8,000 of its ketchup to ABC Co. Ltd., a company in the Caribbean and $2,600 to the local grocer. A 10% excise tax is levied on the production of ketchup c. The grocer sold all its ketchup to households applying a 40% mark up. The grocer also built his own cold storage facilities at a cost of $3,000. The materials used in its construction were imported at a cost of $1,000. a) Calculate the following: i. Output of ketchup at basic prices ii. Output of ketchup at producers' prices iii.
