Design steel connection of Structural bolts required to hold three plate sections of 15” x 0.75” each. The dead load at the connection is 30 kips & live load is 125 kips. All members are made of A442 steel (fy=50 ksi & fu=65 ksi). Use A325 structural bolts of 0.75” diameter having fv=50 ksi and fu=120 ksi with threads excluded from the shear plane arranged with three lines of bolts.
