Jibran Chowdry owns a luxury watch business. Essentially he started with doing a lot of private bills with clients and my dealers. He was buying watches from dealers and selling them to my retail clients. Later he finds that, in selling he was using the same boring and not really popular networks, so the reason why he started social media was the goal of reaching newer and different kinds of customers. My goal was to create a community and sell my watches. Jibran says. His way of staying updated on the latest trends and changes is always checking what his competitors are doing and he also comes up with new ideas all the time, tests it out and sees if it actually works. He finds most of the competitors and brands moves on TikTok and Instagram. Hes selling brands, like Rolex, Cartier, Omega, etc., so he checks what they are doing and new products they are coming up with. The most rewarding thing for Jibran is realizing that he was able to create a community and being able to work from home. Once he started posting he had a certain style to the content, that he was producing, so because got used to that there created a community for like watchenthusiasts, that became interested in my page and basically slowly but surely there was a community that started to form. To succeed in social media marketing, Jibran thinks these skills are essential: Honestly, a lot of consistency, thinking outside of the box, creativity, aesthetics, like having an aesthetic eye and be persistent is the most important thing. In terms of resources, that helped him to know more about social media, were never book or articles, hes a visual learner, so youtube influencers helped him a lot. Here are some tips for newbies, he wishes he knew when he started: As I already told you, when I stuck to one style at the beginning, people were getting used to it and it made my products and my postings recognisable. Which psychologically makes the likelihood of people buying from me more, than companies they have never heard of or seen anywhere. After we even become friends in the community, who ultimately were my clients and I was theirs.
